- If you don’t have work history, include projects and volunteer work instead. Treat them like a job and write bullet points according to your responsibilities.

What To Put On A Resume For A Teenager
As a teenager, you dont have to make your resume look like youve had all the experience to fit the job description. So, relax well show you how to write it outstandingly step by step.
You can add the following sections on your teen resume to attract employers:

If you took on extra responsibilities at school, that shows an employer that youre committed, trustworthy and not afraid to work hard. Its worth mentioning if you had any extra duties when at school. Perhaps you were a prefect, mentored younger students, helped out at lunchtime, ran the school shop, or helped to co-ordinate assemblies, study groups or clubs.
Try to include details about why you were chosen for these roles, or why you chose to volunteer for them in the first place, and what you learned from your experiences. For instance, if you helped to run the school shop its likely that you learned about handling cash pretty handy for jobs which require you to work with money.
Include A Professional Summary
If you don’t have a lot of experience to include on your resume, include a professional summary that highlights a few important experiences and skills you’ve acquired. This should be one to two sentences that will attract a hiring manager’s attention, give them an idea of who you are and show how you are suitable for the position you’re applying for.
You can adapt your professional summary to suit the job you are applying for. This is important if you are applying for positions in different industries, which is likely when you are looking at entry-level roles. Begin your statement with a strong adjective that show eagerness to learn, such as:

Not only that, but teenagers can create their baseline resume, save the file, and then update it every six months to a year over the lifetime of their careers.
