Today you no longer actually mail your resume, so including your full address on your resume is unnecessary.

Instead, let employers know which state you live in to show them that youre already local and wouldnt need to relocate.

Something to keep in mind before deciding to put your address on your resume is that some employers favor applicants who wont need to relocate, so if you live far away, mentioning which city you live in could hurt your chances of getting the job.

Resume Summary Or Objective

Your resume contact information should go at the top of the document. This is basic information that a recruiter needs to see before anything else. Create a header with your name and contact info. Hereâs how this might look on an example from within the Teal Resume Builder:
