If youve decided that you do want to delete your resume, log in to the sites where you posted it and delete or remove your resume. If you don’t remember your usernames and passwords, follow the instructions on the page for retrieving a forgotten username or a lost password. It only takes a few minutes to fix.

How To Use Indeed To Find A Job

Indeed allows you to see which employers are hiring the job you want and notice the skills and experience they require for those job.

As you can see below, the main search page is pretty simple with sets of search criteria available in the basic search

WHAT: job title, keyword, or/or company name

WHERE: location .

Searches can also be carefully refined so you find exactly what you want:

• Combine keyword, job title, and company What searches into a single query for specific jobs, using specific skills, for a specific company.
• Combine your What? search with your target location using the Where search box to find exactly the job you want in your preferred location, including jobs where working remotely is allowed or required.

So youve narrowed down your top choices and reached out to them. So, whats next?

When a candidate answers, the first thing you should do is schedule a 10-minute phone conversation, Google Hangout, or Skype interview with them. You should be able to see whether the prospect is a good fit quite soon. When compared to scheduling each applicant for a complete interview, this phone/video conference screening will save you time. After that, choose just the top 3-5 prospects and invite them to a face-to-face interview.

Free Job Postings On Indeed

Once you have created an employer account, you can immediately start posting jobs for free. Free job postings include job description, location, skills and qualifications and experience required. Free job postings will appear in the general search results when job seekers search for jobs that meet the criteria listed in the job posting. You can update your free job postings from your employer account.

Free job posts are most visible in the two to three days immediately following posting. After that, the post will fall below more recent relevant job posts and users will need to scroll further down the list to find your job post. And lest you think you can get around this by reposting the same job every couple of days, think again. Indeed doesnt allow you to repost the same job within a short period of time.

Indeed offers an application estimator tool that provides a general idea about the number of applications you can expect based on other similar job posts.

Indeed Advanced Search Options

If you click on the Advanced Job Search link on the right side of the Find jobs button, you will find a whole new world of options to further improve your job search results.

You will get to pick which words the job posting must contain and which words it should not contain.

You can further specify the salary range.

You can even specify the job sites you want your job postings to come from.

Another very useful option is the location specifier, with which you can search for jobs within a specific radius around you.

Make Your Resume Private

If you found copies of your resume on the internet, you may be able to hide them without totally deleting them. With some job sites, especially those that have a networking component, you may want to leave your resume online, but limit who can see it. Check the privacy settings. You may be able to change your resume’s visibility from public to limited or private.

Check The Usual Suspects

If your resume is visible, searching on Google and in your email inbox should help you find it. But to be absolutely sure, you can also log in to any professional social media accounts or job search sites that youve used in the past to see if you have a resume posted. If you dont find any copies of your resume, youre probably in the clear.

How Much Does A Job Posting Cost

Employers can post jobs for free or choose the pay-per-click option to attract more candidates. With both free and paid options, youll need to first create an employer account. With the employer account, youll have a Company Profile page that you need to claim. After youve done that, you can add your company logo, location, industry and company description. The Company Profile page will include all current Indeed job postings and users can choose to follow your Company Profile to be updated on any future job postings.

Regardless of whether you choose the paid or free job posting option, youll want to maintain an up-to-date and engaging Company Profile page so you are attracting the right candidates.

Uploading Your Resume To Indeedcom

After clicking the Upload your resume button, you will be asked to go to the file location of your resume on your computer and select it for uploading.

Once the uploading is complete, Indeed will let you know that they have converted your file to an online resume.

Indeed converts your uploaded resume into an online resume that you can then edit and change at any time.

You can also access the file that you uploaded from your account or use that uploaded resume while applying to jobs.

It is best to review your resume after uploading, as the conversion process could result in unintended changes to your resume.

Click Review your resume to go to this page:

You will find that all the inputs have been collected from the resume you have uploaded.

Just make sure that all the details are in proper places and no mistakes or displacement occurred during the conversion.

Do the same for all the sections of your resume:

Indeed will make suggestions to change on your final resume.

Be sure to add a headline and summary if they didnt populate automatically. More on this below.

Dont overlook the bottom of the resume where you can add certifications, additional information, and additional resume sections.

Do a final review before clicking the Save and Continue button.

You will also be asked for some additional information, such as your job preferences, salary expectations, relocation information, and more.

Once you complete the questions, you will be done uploading your resume.

A Great Place To Look For Work

I discovered this app back in 2015 and have used it every since. All my higher paid jobs came from this sight it has made finding work, highlighting your assets, creating and saving a resume so easy. I think it has revenotionalized finding work and will make American life so much easier and the added features of setting up interviews is Amazing, I know its not perfect yet but I am sure they will fix that real soon. Very few things earns 5 stars from me, I would give it 10 if I could. We cannot get better as a country until we give up on racism and start to do better ourselves. How can so many people have so many views on how to fix the world when we cannot even fix whats wrong in our own country?The rich get richer, the poor gets more poor and we have all these billions of dollars to do all this fixing overseas land and cannot help our own citizens? We need better pay in America in order to have more successful encounters overseas. This hopefully will create a better work market here. We struggle from day to day to improve this countrys work force. Color should have nothing to do with who gets the better Job. The one thing I would fix is to make companies more open with wages. They put these numbers up like 55,000 to 110,000. That is so broad of a number he more transparent with what your willing to pay.
