List Your Data Analyst Skills

While you may show your skills throughout your work experience section, professional summary and education section, you may also dedicate a section of your resume to your industry-specific skills. When listing your skills, it’s important to list specific abilities that may help you complete your tasks and perform high-quality work. Include soft skills that allow you to work in a team and communicate with clients, and include hard skills that help you analyse information and create documents that are easy to understand.

Generally, it’s best to list five to 10 skills on your resume. Here are some important skills that you might include:

  • Data modelling: This refers to creating a visual presentation or various parts of information systems to make connections between data structures and points. This skill allows data analysts to organise pieces of data into a succinct model that is easy to interpret, which they can then store in a database for documentation.

  • Data collection: Data collection refers to collecting and measuring data based on many variables related to an organisation’s goal. Data collection is the foundation of a data analyst’s position and it’s important for all aspiring data analysts to have a comprehensive understanding of this skill.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please if you have any questions or concerns.

I’m not a pro in this topic, but maybe your CV is too dense. I would try to make it two pages with the same content, with more space between text.

Thanks for your suggestion, although I only have around 2 years of experience and it is suggested to have a single page resume. I might have to remove some stuff to make it less condensed.

Remove the random bold words. Also the font of your education is messed up. Overall theres too much on the page. Condense and tailor your resume for each job you apply for. You want someone to be able to quickly scan your resume and right now its a wall of text.

Thanks for checking out my resume and for your suggestions, I’m going to remove those bold letters. To make it concise, I already don’t have much professional experience hence the reason I kept my work experience section with a bit of information. Do you think I should remove one of my projects and make fonts a little bigger? Happy Thanksgiving!

How To Present Your Contact Information

Resumes used to include someones full address, but thats no longer the case.

Its fine to include just your city and region instead of your full address.

    Look at what Lilibeth does.

She gives potential employers her email address and phone number and includes her LinkedIn and GitHub profiles.

This is a good approach because the LinkedIn profile will allow any non-engineering hiring managers to get a sense of her broader skills and career history, while the GitHub profile will showcase her technical expertise and any past projects or repositories she has worked on.

Not all companies use them, but if youre applying for a job online, its a real possibility. Better to err on the side of caution.
