How To Replace An Original Resume File That Is Saved To Your Account
If you currently have your original resume file saved to your account instead of an Indeed Resume that you created on our site, you can easily replace it by clicking the three vertical dots on the right-hand side of the Resume page. After clicking the three vertical dots, a drop-down menu will appear with the option to Replace. Simply click Replace and choose the file youd like to upload from your device. You will then be asked to by choosing whether you want your resume to be Public or Private. Once you select Public or Private, click the blue Upload button in the bottom left corner of that window. Your new file will now be set as your Indeed Resume.
Should I Apply To Jobs Using An Indeed Resume
This is what you should know when applying to jobs with an Indeed resume.
Okay friends.. I cannot believe how many of my clients don’t know this, and it could be preventing so many of you from putting your best foot forward.
If you’ve designed your resume to look presentable in ANY way, or use ANY sort of resume template, no matter how basic, this is for you!
When you sign up or log into Indeed.com, it always asks you to create an “Indeed Resume.”
If you create one of these, you’ll notice that it’s EXTREMELY basic.
You also have the choice to upload the nicely designed PDF version of your real, unique and more modern resume.
BUT, when you go to actually apply to jobs, if it says “Apply using your Indeed resume,” it will send the employer that basic, boring version, the Indeed resume, NOT your actual PDF resume!
And most jobs on Indeed accept that basic Indeed resume version, so Indeed applies to MOST jobs with that terrible version.
So, Indeed is applying to MOST jobs for you with the basic, plain text resume, and NOT your nice PDF resume.
So many of my customers create beautiful, unique resumes using my designs in order to STAND OUT from the competition, only to get lost in the crowd with a basic, boring resume when they apply on Indeed.
So, how do you make sure the employer gets your nice, unique PDF version instead?
Don’t create an Indeed resume, at all.
Just apply to each job with the PDF. And while you’re at it, tailor that PDF resume to each job you apply to .

How To Replace An Indeed Resume
If you currently have an Indeed Resume that you built on our site, you can replace it by clicking Delete my Indeed Resume on the right side of your Resume. Please note that by deleting your Indeed Resume, your Profile section will also be deleted. When you upload a new resume, you may need to re-enter information in your Profile section.
Once you have deleted your Indeed Resume, you can upload a new resume file by clicking Upload your resume and selecting the file youd like to upload from your device. If you do not have an existing file to upload and youd like to create a resume from scratch, you can go through the Indeed Resume creation process by clicking the option to Create a new resume.

Signing In To Another Site
When you click on a job listing on Indeed, you may be redirected to the employers website where the job is actively listed. Other sites may have their own login or registration requirements, and you will not be able to sign in using your Indeed credentials. If you need any technical assistance you will need to contact the support team associated with the site you are redirected to.
A Great Place To Look For Work
I discovered this app back in 2015 and have used it every since. All my higher paid jobs came from this sight it has made finding work, highlighting your assets, creating and saving a resume so easy. I think it has revenotionalized finding work and will make American life so much easier and the added features of setting up interviews is Amazing, I know its not perfect yet but I am sure they will fix that real soon. Very few things earns 5 stars from me, I would give it 10 if I could. We cannot get better as a country until we give up on racism and start to do better ourselves. How can so many people have so many views on how to fix the world when we cannot even fix whats wrong in our own country?The rich get richer, the poor gets more poor and we have all these billions of dollars to do all this fixing overseas land and cannot help our own citizens? We need better pay in America in order to have more successful encounters overseas. This hopefully will create a better work market here. We struggle from day to day to improve this countrys work force. Color should have nothing to do with who gets the better Job. The one thing I would fix is to make companies more open with wages. They put these numbers up like 55,000 to 110,000. That is so broad of a number he more transparent with what your willing to pay.

Using Your Own Resume File
Indeed resume is a feature we offer but it is not required to apply to jobs on our site. If you would like to apply to jobs using your own resume file, you may do so by uploading it whenever an apply window pops up, or in cases where an employer takes you to an external site, you may upload it there.
Note: If you delete your Indeed Resume, your profile section will also be deleted. Likewise, if you upload a new resume, you may need to re-enter information in your profile section.

How To Upload Your Resume
If you already have a resume saved on your device, click on the Upload Resume button and select the file you would like to upload. This will automatically populate the text fields with your information. Indeed creates your resume using a standardized format that allows you to easily apply to job postings using our platform. When you initially upload your resume, its visibility will be set to public. To change your resume visibility settings feel free to read our Visibility Settings article.
When uploading your resume, make sure that the file is text-based. We recommend uploading a file type that is either a Word document , a PDF created from a text file , or a plain .txt, .rtf, .html, or .odt file. Also, be sure that your file is no greater than 5 MB in size.
