I have completed my scrum certification in December, now that I am looking out for job I couldn’t get any because I don’t have any experience. I couldn’t see any junior scrum roles in dublin Ireland.

Please advise on how to get any internship role so that I can get hands on experience as scrum master.

Thanks & Regards,

This has been an issue ever since… most of the companies that hire scrum master not only want certifications but also experience… Why not hire them and coach/guide them? @DEEPA DAMODARAN NAIR, what is your current background? Are you working on a scrum team?

One good way to start would be by being or finding opportunities to be part of a scrum team and progressing to the role of a scrum master.

Practice The Scrum Framework In Other Roles

Companies hiring Scrum masters often look for Scrum knowledge, but this may come from outside of a traditional role. When you’re applying for your first Scrum master role, consider practicing the Scrum framework and principles in other areas of your life.

You can do this for various projects and tasks, and some people try to apply the concept to their current careers. You also can use these ideas to approach a hobby or event planning from your personal life. For example, you may use the Scrum framework to plan a large home renovation.

Dont worry! You do not have to compose a new resume every time you apply for a different job. All you need to do is incorporate certified scrum master resume keywords according to the JD into your resume.

Just go through the job description of the profile you are applying for. Here you will find different criteria like education, work experience, desired skills, etc.

Once you have identified the appropriate keywords, incorporate them organically into your resume. This is to say that do not include keywords that do not apply to you just to get into the shortlist.

Including keywords makes your resume ATS-compatible and helps you pass the first stage of vetting as most companies today rely on ATS for the same.
