Where Can I Post My Resume

Using Linkedins Easy Apply Feature

How to Upload Resume on LinkedIn (2020 LATEST VERSION) | LinkedIn Resume Upload

With thousands of openings in a custom-tailored feed, its no wonder that LinkedIn is one of the most popular ways to search and apply to jobs. LinkedIn makes it simple to add your resume through the Easy Apply feature.

This option is only available for employers who opt in, so if theres no blue Easy Apply button at the top of the posting then youll have to go to the company website to apply directly.

40 million people use LinkedIn to look for jobs every week and three people are hired via the platform every minute, according to the company.

Here are the steps to use Easy Apply:

1. Navigate to your desired job posting

2. Click the Easy Apply button located just under the postings header

3. In the pop-up window, click Upload resume

4. Navigate to your resume file on your computer

5. Continue completing the contact information and supplementary questions before you submit

Pros: This is the best way to upload and send your resume when applying to jobs on LinkedIn.

Cons: Since you are only sending your resume via LinkedIn to one employer or job posting, it wont be seen by other recruiters who come across your profile.

Hope youve found this guide useful! And remember, if you want a great resume that makes recruiters stop in their tracks use our professional templates, resume builder and library of 300+ job-specific examples. The best prepared candidates win the truly awesome jobs!

Build Your Own Resume Website

Another way to get your resume out there is to create your own professional website.

Why should you do that? Be honest, you’ve definitely googled a person before, right? So will your potential future employer.

Rather than them finding your old cringey Facebook or Twitter account, they would now find a professional website containing information about your past work experience, achievements, special projects, and more.

Kickresume’s website builder feature lets you turn your resume into a personal website in one click.

You can choose from a variety of website templates that not only look great but also entail many useful features. And yes, it’s for free!

Here’s a quick guide to building your own website using Kickresume’s website builder:

  • Log in to your Kickresume account. You can do so by logging in via your Facebook, Google, or LinkedIn accounts, as well as your email address.
  • View “Your Documents”. Here, select “Webpage”. It’s the second option in the banner at the top.
  • Choose from 3 options. Hover over the “+” sign to display three options for creating your website. You can either create a new webpage, import information from LinkedIn, or create a webpage from your Kickresume resume.
  • Choose a template. Kickresume offers 1 free template and 7 premium templates designed by graphic designers and HR experts.
  • Edit. You can now make adjustments and edit the content of the website. Kickresume lets you do this in a very interactive and simple way.
  • Can Recruiters See Your Resume On Linkedin

If you upload your resume to your profile in the Featured Section or as a LinkedIn post, your resume will be visible to the public.

If you upload your resume during a job application through Easy Apply, your resume will only be visible to the employer.

If you upload your resume to your LinkedIn account in your Job Application Settings, your uploaded resume is private to you.

Its free to post a resume if youre seeking employment, but if you decide to post as a service provider, Craigslist fees start at $10 per listing. Once your posting goes live, it will remain on Craigslists resume section for 30 days. After 30 days, you will need to create another listing.

You can also post your resume outside of your immediate area by visiting other cities Craigslist pages to find remote-friendly gigs and jobs.

Craigslist is actively used to find talent across many major industries such as finance, marketing, general labor, domestic work, IT, education, and writing. How To Upload Your Resume To Linkedin: Featured Media Method

Part Deux of the Top Post Of All Time⢠on /r/jobs: " I

There are two ways to upload your resume to LinkedIn: add your resume as Featured Media or upload your resume as you apply for a job using LinkedIns Easy Apply feature.

Well cover the Featured Media method first, although we find it less useful than using Easy Apply. Heres a step-by-step guide:

  • Go to your LinkedIn profile

  • Press Add Profile Section

  • Select Featured and then Media from the drop-down menu

  • Select your resume document from wherever it is located on your computer

  • As we said earlier, we dont recommend posting your resume to your LinkedIn profile like this. At the very least, you should modify your resume so that the contact information you dont want publically available is removed. After all, if someone sees your resume on LinkedIn and likes it, they can message you on LinkedIn!

While you can change your privacy settings so random people wont see this stuff, recruiters and hiring managers who might be interested in you later are just random people right now, which makes this option a bit of a Catch 22.

On top of that, you can list your work experience elsewhere on your LinkedIn profile. The picture of your resume is basically unnecessary and will do more harm than good as a job seeker. Recruiters wont notice an uploaded photo nearly as much as a regularly updated work history section on your LinkedIn profile.
