Chicago Pd Season : Premiere Date Spoilers And Everything Else We Know

Several recruits test positive for coronavirus after Chicago police resumes training

Here’s what’s happening with Intelligence next season

We’re counting down the days until Halstead , Burgess , and the rest of the Intelligence crew are back on our screens. Unfortunately, that wait will be a bit longer this year due to the outbreak of COVID-19, which forced more than 100 shows including Chicago P.D.. to halt production in March. As a result, Chicago P.D., Chicago Fire, and Chicago Med wrapped their seasons three episodes early. Things are starting to pick back up for the Dick Wolf procedural, which is expected to resume production on Oct. 6. It joins a bevy of other shows like The CW’s Supernatural, which resumed filming in Vancouver on Aug. 18 and wrapped their final shot on Thursday, Sept. 10, that are getting back into the swing of things.

Chicago P.D.‘s abrupt ending to Season 7 left several questions in the air including what’s next for Atwater , who will likely find himself going up against other CPD police officers next season. As you’ll recall, the final moments of “Silence of the Night” found Atwater flanked by a sea of flashing blue lightsan ominous message from the friends of Doyle , the racist cop who Atwater reported to authorities for racially profiling a black man and instigating the shootout that resulted in his own death.

Are There Any Spoilers For Chicago Pd Season 9

One of the goals for season 8 was to really address the idea of police reform and it looked as if Voight was taking that seriously until the very final episode. So, season 9 will have to revisit that issue with him. How reformed is he really, or is he just giving it lip service for his team?

With Uptons declaration that she and Halstead should get married, this season will also need to explore whats next for Upstead. Or once the shock of what happened with Voight and her having to kill someone passes, might she revert to her old feelings?

Until it is revealed whether or not there is a time jump when we return, it is unclear what Burgess status will be. Will she be fully recovered from her gunshot wound, and even if she is, will she want to immediately return to duty, or will she be traumatized?

In addition, Atwater will continue to struggle to find his way as the only Black cop in the unit. His unique perspective will continued to be explored.

Hes still growing as a person and as a cop, and he continues to see the world in a different way and continues to see his role as a police officer in a different light. It will definitely continue with him because thats who he is,Eid told Monsters & Critics.

This new term deal complements our recently concluded agreement to make Peacock one of the primary destinations for both the Law and Order and Chicago brands, as well as our extraordinary three-year NBC broadcast pickups on all four current series.

Nbc Has Good News For One Chicago Fans While Fire Pd And Med Are On Break

ByLaura Hurleypublished 5 February 22

One Chicago may be taking a break while NBC airs the Winter Olympics, but there’s some good news for fans even as they wait for Fire, P.D., and Med to come back.

The three shows of One Chicago have been hugely successful for NBC, especially since the network started airing all three of them on the same night. Unfortunately for fans, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med are all on breaks in the 2021-2022 TV season until late February due to the Winter Olympics, with the latest episodes airing back in mid-January. There is good news for viewers despite the fact that the shows still wont be back for weeks, however, and all thanks to some comments from the head of scheduling at NBC.

NBC head of scheduling Steve Kern opened up to Variety about what the February hiatus for the networks hottest shows means for the 2021-2022 TV season, and his explanation was enough to give away why This Is Us break in its final season isnt actually a bad thing. But what about the three One Chicago shows that have made Wednesdays into such a hit for NBC? Kern shared:

So for the Chicago shows, we have 22 episodes. The season is 35 weeks. So that means theres 12 or 13 weeks that we have to schedule either repeats or preemptions to get the shows to fit into the season. Im more than happy to have a preemption that I know is going to do well, which is the Winter Olympics.

‘chicago Pd’ Fans There Was A Major Delay That Happened Behind The Scenes

Through unprecedented times, NBCs One Chicago franchise has prevailed. In September 2021, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. returned to the networks Wednesday lineup with new seasons. But now, 12 episodes in, a few of the Dick Wolf dramas are still trying to navigate COVID-19 issues behind the scenes. And unfortunately, this could mean delays for folks tuning in at home.

On January 12, Deadline reported that filming for Chicago P.D. season 9 was suspended after several positive coronavirus cases were confirmed on the set. While there were TV shows that waited a week or two to resume filming after the holiday break for safety protocol reasons, including additional testing the Chicago franchise wasnt among them, and the three shows jumped right back into work. Shortly after though, there were a couple of dozen cumulative positive tests on the show, according to the outlet.

After the COVID-19 cases were detected which were said to have impacted the cast production continued with an adjusted filming schedule and temporary crew member replacements. Ultimately, filming of Chicago P.D.s current season was brought to a halt for a few days. Since this news was originally reported, this timeframe has most likely already passed but there is no official word about the show getting back on track.

Chicago Med Chicago Fire Chicago Pd Will Have Early 2022 Return Date

Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago PDNovember 12, 2021

While there is still an episode left of each this calendar year, we know when Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD are back in 2022! Not only that, but its early enough to celebrate it to a certain extent.

Today, NBC confirmed that you will be able to see the One Chicago lineup play out starting on Wednesday, January 5. Why so early? A lot of that may be due to the Winter Olympics. These shows, like so many others on the network, will likely be pushed off the air for a little while in order to accommodate the Games. That means well have an extended February hiatus, but probably new episodes in both January and March.

While there is no 100% confirmed episode count for Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD this season, its probably much closer to the standard 20-23 episodes than what weve had the past two seasons, which were both shortened significantly by the pandemic. While we know that there are still measures being taken and protocols in place, producers, casts, and crews are a little more accustomed to dealing with them now.

‘chicago Pd’ Recap: Intense Winter Break Episode

The last episode to be released for Chicago PD was “Fractures” and explored themes of tension and emotional upheaval in the face of a pretty difficult case. The case also tested moral grounds for the officers, especially Halstead and Voight .

Chicago PD Season 19 episode 8 was the last one before the Thanksgiving break set in but is not the last one for the year. The upcoming episode is supposed to be the last one for 2021. The show is expected to resume after winter break in 2022.

In the previous episode, “Fractures,” the department dealt with the case of a stabbing, which on the surface seemed like a case of plain robbery. The man who was stabbed had two daughters.

Special Agent North’s arrival sees instant effect as he determines that it is the boyfriend of one of the daughters that killed the man and that one of the daughters is a co-conspirator.

On separating and questioning, one of the daughters finally gives in and confesses that the other daughter, Alice, killed their father and threatened her not to open her mouth.

The ending is shocking as Agent North pulls over Halstead and tells him he knows what happened to Walton and puts Halstead in a very tough spot. North tells him to either help take down Voight or share the blame between himself and his fiance.

The episode of Chicago PD ends here with a major cliffhanger.

What Happened At The End Of Chicago Pd Season 9

Warning: This section containers spoilers about the Chicago PD season 9 finale. If you havent watch, stop reading now.

Chicago PD wrapped up its eighth season with a two-part finale, which introduced the fact that Deputy Superintendent Samantha Miller had a son Darrell, who recently moved to Chicago after living with his father for years. Darrell had a $10,000 problem and he turned to Voight for help since it involved drugs.

Darrell had been selling drugs on his college campus, but his clients were slow to pay and he owed the drug dealer $10,000. The way that Darrell explained it to Voight, the head of Intelligence thought they were dealing with a small-time dealer, but that turned out not to be the case.

Voight told Darrell to back off, but Darrell didnt listen in his need to make things right. So, he went to the club where the dealer was, and he stumbled on a sex trafficking ring. Darrell was a good kid at heart, and he tried to rescue one of the girls and got kidnapped and killed as a result.

There was one point where Voight suspected where Darrell was being held, but he didnt have what he needed to get a legal warrant, so Miller told him to stand down. Little did she suspect that it would cost her son his life, but it did. Darrells body was found the next morning.

Burgess was shot by her abductor and played dead. She used a belt to slow the bleeding and then crawled out of the building in search of help.

When Do The ‘one Chicago’ Shows Come Back After The Winter Break

Chicago Police Department Saison 5 Episode 3 Streaming ...

Unfortunately, the creators of One Chicago are not cutting fans any slack, as viewers will have to wait some time before they’ll get to see the programs once the fall finales air.

After the finales air on Dec. 8, those will be the last episodes of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. until the new year, with the trio returning on Jan. 5, 2022. This means that the break between the fall finale and the rest of the season will only be a couple of weeks.

But don’t get your hopes up that this means you’ll be able to barrel right into the rest of the season. Unfortunately, the Winter Olympics will take up the regular slot for all of the One Chicago shows starting in February meaning after only a couple of episodes into the remainder of the season, these shows will take yet another break.

Once the Winter Olympics start, many of NBC’s regular programming will be put on hiatus until the games are over and programming can return to normal, which could easily be until March or even April, depending on the network’s scheduling and the creators’ timelines.

You can watch all of the One Chicago shows starting at 8 p.m. EST Wednesdays on NBC.

Is Hank Voight Leaving Chicago Pd Jay Halstead Holds All The Power In Season 9 Episode 8

While fans await Chicago P.D. Season 9 Episode 9, viewers want to know whats going to happen to Jay Halstead, Hank Voight, and Hailey Upton. In episode 8, the FBI tried to crack Upton and get her to confess to knowing what happened to Roy Walton but she refused. Unfortunately, Halstead is still in an ultra-tricky position. Agent Walker North finds Waltons body and gives Jay Halstead a choice. Either Halstead can help the FBI put away Hank Voight for doing away with Waltons body, or Halstead and Upton will go down for Waltons death.

With Halsted in such a tricky position, fans are wondering if Hank Voight is leaving Chicago P.D. While its unclear how the rest of the story will unfold in season 9, One Chicago Center reports theres no reason to suspect Voight actor Jason Beghe will leave the Chicago P.D. cast. Voight is central to the series, and Beghe hasnt given any indication hes awaiting an exit.

Were anxious to see what happens with Voight, Halstead, and Upton in the season finale.

Chicago P.D. Season 9 airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.

‘chicago Pd’ Preview: When Is The Show Returning

It seems Chicago PD hasn’t aired in ages. Though it’s only been three weeks so far, the widely popular TV series has been missed by fans quite a lot since then. Thankfully Chicago PD will be returning the following week and promises to bring a new and exciting case to the screen.

The popular Chicago PD is part of the “Chicago” franchise and Chicago Med and Chicago Fire and has already run for nine seasons. The show follows uniformed officers from the Chicago Police Department in their quest to solve street crimes and, at times, even get involved in bigger things.

The show is currently gone on break in lieu of Thanksgiving. But after weeks of waiting, it is finally set to come back, and we are excited. Though the show hasn’t given out a promo yet, there are other things we can try to infer from the previous episodes.

Waiting on the promo of #ChicagoPD
